On motion from Cathy, seconded by Darrell, the minutes of meeting held 11/20/2024 were approved.

Old Business

  1. The board previously approved funding for SPARK Acadiana for additional heart monitors provided to students. We received thank you letter through the Community Foundation.

  2. We received thank you letters/notes from Faith House, DREAMS, Rosa’s Angels for Shining Light Foundation’s donations made in December.


New Business

  1. We received a $100.00 donation from Suzanne Daigle on 2/3/2025.

  2. The Shining Light Brochures have been updated. Marietta included the brochure in the Zonta goodie bags.

  3. We discussed the need review the existing list of board members. Michelle will create a Google Doc Survey so that members can respond whether they want to continue serving as a board member or as an advisory member.


Scholarships:

The board approved funding requested by LPSS Middle School Gifted Enrichment (Edgar Martin) for:

Grade 7 – Evan Robidoux - $500.00. Field Trip San Antonio
