Mary Speyrer shared information on Family Promise of Acadiana. They are part of a national network that help provide shelter, meals and support for homeless families with minor children. FPA does not take Federal Funding due to restrictions on how long a family can stay. They partner with several local congregations. FPA recently purchased a home where the homeless can use as an address. Once the renovations are complete, Mary will invite the Shining Light Board members for a tour.
On motion from Rose, seconded by Bruce, the minutes of meeting held 10/16/2024 were approved.
