On motion from Marietta, seconded by Michelle, the minutes of meeting held 2/28/2024 were approved.

Old Business

Per Cynthia, she has previously visited Prof Erny and asked them to provide information on which students have picked up the instruments.  His response is they have been very busy,

New Business

1)     We received a $500.00 donation from Chevron (Blackbaud Giving Fund, its agent Your Cause) on 3/6/2024.   These are matching funds from Chevron as requested by Bruce Snow.

2)     The CAFÉ concept was mentioned in reference to some of our under achieving schools.  (Northside High, Carencro High, Dr Raphael Baranco Elementary, J W Faulk, and Lafayette Middle).  Members of the Women of Wisdom are involved with CAFÉ which has a goal of getting the community and families more involved with students.  Michelle will get the date and times of the next CAFÉ meetings for John Broussard.  He can do a public information announcement on KRVS.  Love Our Schools also contributes to the CAFÉ program.

3)     Girl Magic (another program) is helping students at Lafayette Middle, Carencro Middle and holy Family Catholic.  Both programs are designed to help make a difference in the lives of these students

4)     We will not meet in June or July, but we will meet in August to start the new school year.

None were received.
