On motion from Cynthia, seconded by Rose, the minutes of meeting held 10/10/2023 were approved.

Financial Advisor’s review - Account Balance 12/11/2023 is $89,956.00. The YTD growth is 18.3%.

Old Business

Carolyn indicated that the checks for the donations given by The Shining Light Foundation were picked up except for Mable’s Table. Rose will give to Anna Laura. We received thank you letters/cards from Faith House and Women of Wisdom.

New Business

We received a $1,000.00 donation from Bill and Ande Hakeman on 11/28/2023.

Scholarships:

The board members had approved via prior email the scholarships below for LPSS Gifted Enrichment for a 2 day overnight field trip to San Antonio for the 7^th and 8^th grade travel dates 3/5-3/7. And an overnight field trip to Houston for the 5^th and 6^th grade travel dates 4/30-5/2.

$ 200.00 – Aniya Bass, 8^th grade. Parents to pay $300.00.

$ 350.00 – Marle Breaux, 8^th grade. Parents to pay $150.00.

$ 200.00 – Miles French, 7^th grade. Parents to pay $300.00

$ 315.00 – Aaron McNeely, 6^th grade. Parents to pay $185.00

$1,065.00 TOTAL

We received a scholarship request for the Lafayette High School Color Guard fees for three (3) students. After much discussion by the board, Carolyn will request additional information from the band director Ronnie Gleason. UPDATE: Additional information received after our meeting and board members approved the following:

$337.50 – Ainsley Chaisson, 9^th grade. Parents pay $112.50

$337.50 – Giana Johnson, 10th grade. Parents pay $112.50

$337.50 – Aeya Ledet, 12th grade. Parents pay $112.50

$1,012.50 TOTAL

Meeting adjourned at 7:05 pm. The monthly meetings will change to the fourth Wednesday of the month (no meeting held in January). Next meeting date will be held on February 28, 2023, at Live Oak Wealth Advisors, 1042 Camelia Blvd., Suite 11, Lafayette, LA. Refreshments at 5:30 pm.
