The board did introductions.
After reviewing the minutes from June 27, 2023 meeting we had a correction on minutes under new business.
Revised- Per Cynthia, the current Superintendent is stepping down and is now a new principal in Eunice.
Presentation from Mary Speyrer on Family Promise of Acadiana. Family Promise Acadiana offers shelter to entire families, including teen boys and single dads. Bruce Snow made a motion to approve and all members approved. Carolyn will send $75.oo to Milton Elementary.
Cynthia Dauphin and Mary Speyrer presented to LPSS counselors the information on Shining Light Foundation and the Shining Light Foundation brochure is now on the LPSS Google Shared Drive for all to access. Cynthia will contact new Interim Superintendent, Mr. Francis Touchet, to see if we can get the information and brochure to the principals.
There was no old business.
