MINUTES of MEETING HELD:  Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 6:00 pm

On motion from Perry, seconded by Bruce, the minutes of the meeting held Tuesday, January 11, 2022 were approved.

Treasurer’s Report:

Balance: $10,497.50

Scholarships: $2,500.00

Expenses: $667.57

Interest:  $.59

Escrow: $375.00

Donations received: Total $1,600.00 

Invested: $86,215.64 as of today’s closing

We had originally invested $50,000.00 in the Vanguard Social Index Fund (VFTAX) and Franklin Income Fund (FKINK).

Perry motioned that the Treasurer’s report be accepted, and Mike seconded.

Old Business:

The Shining Light Foundation letterhead needs to be updated.  Carolyn will contact Julie to update.

New Business:

Carolyn suggested when new applications are received without a date, that Bruce add the date received before it is uploaded to the Shining Light Foundation website for easier reference.  

Applications - Carolyn spoke with John Broussard and no new applications were received.   Sandra check the mailbox and no mail received.
