MINUTES OF MEETING HELD: Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 6:00 pm

On motion of Bruce, seconded by Cynthia, the minutes of meeting held on Tuesday, February 09, 2020 were approved. 

Treasurer’s Report

Balance 12/31/2020:  $12,765.27

Scholarships: $2,300.00; Expenses:  $329.33; Donations:  $755.45; Interest:  $00.82; Escrow:  $375.00

Invested $74,980.74.   

New Business

We received a donation from Amazon Smile for $5.11 and an anonymous donation from PayPal for $73.05.

Carolyn applied for a grant from the Pacific Life Partnership. They will announce awards in June.

Per John, no scholarship applications have been received.  The 9-12 grade students are all back in school with an average of 24 students per class.  The protocol is to wear masks and try to keep 6 feet apart. The issue is when the students are in the hallways as they move to various classrooms. 

John is suggesting we continue to keep the Shining Light Foundation in the forefront.   Cynthia plans to meet with he counselors in August.

Special Projects – the board had voted to assist the following organization:

$500.00 – Rosa’s Angels – Robin McMillian is preparing Easter baskets that contain toothbrush, toothpaste, and some Easter goodies for children.
