On motion of John, seconded by Mike, minutes of meeting held on September 3, 2019 were approved.

was unable to attend. Balance in the investment account is
$81,389.83. Mike has reimbursed Shining Light for $16.50 that was
inadvertently charged.

On motion by John and seconded by Lana the above scholarships were approved. Carolyn will send the letter with the check.
Board Member Activities:
Shining Light was featured in a newspaper article awarding a check to Chorale Des Amis.
Carolyn reached out to Dr. Mizelle and he was able to help the little girl who needed glasses. The board had passed on the request at a prior meeting since it is out of our scope.
Cynthia mentioned she has met with the counselors; however, the school board has not yet called her as to when the principals are scheduled to meet.
Other Business:
We received a letter from the Junior League that Shining Light was not awarded any funds this year.
