Year end summary 2018/2019: We awarded 59 scholarships. 7 for instruments; 52 for non-instrument.
Cheryl will have printed statements for the next board meeting. She will add Sandra as a check signor.
New Business
Donation – we received a donation from Chevron. Bruce Snow applied for Chevron’s Volunteer Grant Program for hours volunteered at non-profit organizations. The Board thanked Bruce for the donation.
Prof
Erny - Cynthia
spoke with Prof Erny and they agreed to keep the same prices, but
they want to see the price list provided. Sandra provided a copy of
the 2014 price list. Prices have remained constant. Once Cynthia
gets confirmation, we will update the price sheet for the website.
Cynthia also received an invoice from Prof Erny for students who have picked up instruments:

Check #123 in the amount of $722.50 was issued to Prof Erny. Cynthia will drop off the check.
Facebook – Sandra will update the Shining Light Facebook page with a notice that we are accepting applications from Teachers and Counselors for the new school year.
Post Office Box - Mildred ordered another post office box key. Changes can be made online at the Post Office website for Shining Light. Sandra will research (Dee Stanley procured the PO Box).
Teacher/Counselor Meeting – Per Cynthia, the meeting is pending. We are on the Agenda. Brochures were printed for the meeting. Bruce will also provide a PDF file of business cards for Carolyn to print in color. Cynthia wants to attach to business cards.
Investment Policy – Carolyn shared a draft of the proposed Shining Light Investment policy. Boards members are to review. Edits will be made and discussed at our next board meeting,
Other Business:
Cynthia was able to meet with Millicent from Vermilionville and give her the gift certificate. She was much appreciative of the gift. Millicent was helpful in reducing number of meals for the Bash at the last minute and saved us some expenses.
