On motion of Perry, seconded by Cynthia, Minutes of Meeting held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 approved.

Treasurer’s Report
Present balance: $43,931.68
Donations: Galen and Marietta LaBauve $100.00; Janice Roane 10-16-27 $50.00; Janice Roane 10-30-17 $50.00
Carolyn reported that on November 13, 2017 she used 15,000 earned points credited to our Visa card to pay $152.00 of the balance on the card.

Executive Director’s Report
Copy of the approved budget handed out.
Joe reported that we did not get the Cleco grant.
The application from Burke Elementary for Zoey Dupuis which was approved at last meeting will not be funded because Joe received information that Zoey has transferred to a different school
It has come to our attention that M.I. Library is a source for musical instruments and Joe and Cynthia will meet with Ryan Cazares to find out more about this source.

New Business
On motion of John, seconded by Bruce, requests from Prairie Elementary for field trip to Acadiana Center for the Arts on November 3, 2017 for the following 8 students at a cost of $8.50 per student, approved via e-mail on October 22, 2017:

New Applications
Special Projects:
Request from Broadmoor Elementary School for $100.00 for culturally responsive reading books for 2nd grade students to improve their reading skills.
On motion of John, seconded by June, request approved.
June will contact the teacher to find out the number of students expected to use these books and the number of these students who qualify for free lunch.
Cynthia will send the check for this project along with the measurement form.

Request from Ridge Elementary School for bus funding to transport 88 students to Longfellow-Evangeline State Bark in St. Martinville in May for end of year trip at a cost of $355.00.
On motion of John, seconded by Troy, request approved.

Carolyn reported that she filed the Annual Report with the Secretary of State at a cost of $10 plus $5 service charge.

Meeting adjourned at 7:30 pm.

Our next meeting will be our Christmas Party at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, December 12, 2017.

Any business for the agenda should be conducted via e-mail prior to the party as there will not be a business meeting.
