On motion of Troy, seconded by Cynthia, Minutes of Meeting held Tuesday, July 12, 2016 approved.
Treasurer’s
Report
Present balance: $30,379.30; escrow $21,318.53;
invested $19,373.35; donation 8-2-16 Janice Roane $50.00
Executive
Director’s Report
The applications have been
revised, placing the guidelines on the first page so that teachers or
counselors may readily read the guidelines before filling out the
applications.
Bruce is asked to post the revised applications on
the website.
The Cox Charities grant application completed and
submitted.
The Gannett grant application is due August 29.
An
inquiry has been sent to Pennington Foundation.
Joe prepared a
draft of proposed budget needed to request funding from various
grantors. The proposed budget was tentatively approved.
Strategic planning session on July 30 was successful in
identifying goals and objectives.
New
Business
If John gets applications for musical
instruments before the next meeting, we will have a special meeting
to consider them or they will be handled by e-mail.
On motion of Troy, seconded by Mike, a Non-Discrimination Statement and Policy was adopted.
There will be a meeting of the principals of Lafayette Parish Schools on August 31. Cynthia plans to attend and will let others know time and place.
