On motion of Bruce, seconded by Lana, Minutes of Meeting held Tuesday, September 8, approved.
Treasurer’s
Report:
Present balance: $38,534.76
Donations
received: Janice Roane $50.00; Joseph Cilano $100.00
Cynthia
Comeaux told about the program to repair instruments which is
supported by Chevron and the instruments are donated to the schools.
The schools decide who gets the repaired instruments.
Paige
Krause said her organization would like to learn more about the
project.
A letter was received from Shelby Williams and was read at the meeting.
New
Business
On motion of Cynthia Dauphin, seconded
by Perry Scotola, the by-laws should be amended to include Pre-K
students in field trip applications. Motion approved.
Cynthia attended the principals’ meeting and will report on it at a later date.

approved via e-mail after September 8 meeting:
Myrtle Place
Elementary School request for Eric Ardou for a clarinet, but parent
is able to pay $5.00 only. Volunteers paid the balance due of
$57.50; Shining Light to pay $187.50 balance.
Duson Elementary School request for Jayden Nugier for a trumpet for $250.00, parent to pay $62.50, Shining Light balance is $187.50.
Burke Elementary School request for Ray ‘Quion Georeg for a flute for $250.00, parent to pay $62.50, Shining Light balance is $187.50.
