On motion of Bruce, seconded by Debbey, Minutes of Meeting held Tuesday, June 2, 2015 were approved.
We received two applications for new members of the Shining Light Board of Directors. Both Tanya Cormier and Barbara Moore were unanimously approved as new board members.
Bruce will update the application forms for the 2015-2016 school year. Cynthia will attend the meeting with the guidance counselors and will check how many brochures we be needed and get with Bruce. She made copies of card stock of the Shining Light business cards and will absorb the cost. They were used at the “Networking On Purpose†event. Debbie agreed to sponsor a Networking Luncheon closer to the date of our annual Bash. Heather will send e/mail addresses for guidance counselors to Sandra for sending out the Newsletter.
A motion was made by Cynthia and seconded by Don to include an advisory board, and amend the By Laws to no more than 20 board members. Carolyn will contact Ted Hoyt on amending the By Laws.
The date for the annual Zydeco Bash was requested for Tuesday, April 19. This is the day before Festival International. Carolyn has subsequently sent an e/mail to Millicent at Vermilionville to hold the date and will send a deposit.
Present balance $35,309.86. We have $20,251.00 in escrow. We received $100 donation from Janice Roane; $350.00 matching funds from UBS. Year to date: Scholarships $4,033.25. Expenses: $4,238.93. Donations $17,537.34. Interest $6.03 We are expecting a $200.00 check from the Mellow Mushroom fundraising event, and a $250.00 check from Bancorp South as a donation.
