Report:
Present balance: $26,038.67; However Carolyn advised
that balance which includes funds in escrow for Prof Erny and in CDs
is $43,756.45
Donations received: $500.00 from Chevron; $59.36
from Albertson’s Community Partners; $50.00 from Janice Roane.
UBS has approved to match funds from Carolyn $1,000.00; from Mike
$450.00; from Alicia Courville $50.00

Mark DeWitt accepted donation of an electric
Ukelele with carrrying case for the music department at UL.
Photos were taken and will be sent to the newspaper and will appear
in our newsletter.

Business
No applications at this time.
Special
Project.
Cheryl proposes a special project. In cases where
the teacher specifies that the child is participating in the free
lunch program, Shining Light will qualify for CRA, Community
Reinvestment Act, grants or donations from various busnesses,
including banks.
John will check on whether or not a
student participating in free lunch can be added as a question
to our application or is that a violation of the student’s
privacy. If it is not, then Cynthia will ask Michelle to update
the Application form to include that information.
Carolyn received information from Carol Ross with Right Angle Advertising proposing that we change our logo. After discussion and vote, it was decided to keep our present logo.
John and Mike will check with Vermilionville to find out if April 15, 2015 is available for the next Bash.
Cynthia will drop off brochures at the Counselors’ meeting scheduled for August 5, 2014. She will also visit the new Charter Schools.
Mike will send the photos from tonight to Julie.
