MINUTES OF MEETING HELD: Monday, August 3, 2009 at 5:30 pm

On motion of John, seconded by Bruce, Minutes of Meeting held May 11, 2009 approved.

Treasurer’s Report
Present balance: $24,189.07
Donations:   Janice, George, and Patrick Roane $30 on 5-20-09, $30 on 6-29-09 and $30 on 7-28-09; Community Partners $13.40
On motion of Bruce, seconded by John, it was agreed to go paperless with our UBS account.

Old Business
Cynthia advised that Wal-Mart and Sam’s have depleted their funds for donations for the spring but they will review the applications August 15 and perhaps we will receive a donation at that time.
Bruce advised we can now print business cards on our website.

Michelle advised by e-mail that new Application Forms and letters will be sent to counselors and band directors this week.  Several additions and corrections to the forms and letters were suggested to further clarify the forms, and Cynthia will contact Michelle with those items.

Carolyn and Mike will appear on John’s radio show on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 10:00 am, 88.7 FM, to help make the public aware of Shining Light and its purpose.

Meeting adjourned at 6:50 pm.

Next meeting will be held on Monday, August 31, 2009 at 5:30 pm at the UBS office, 1021 E. St. Mary.
