MINUTES OF MEETING HELD: Monday, February 2, 2009 at 5:30 pm

 

LOCATION:  UBS Financial Services, 1021 E. St. Mary Blvd., Lafayette, LA

On motion of Michelle, seconded by Cynthia, Minutes of Meeting held January 5, 2009 approved.

 

Treasurer’s Report
Present balance: $17,035.65
Donations: Community Foundation $16.00; Janice and George Roane in honor of Patrick Roane $30.00; The Florence Mauboules Charitable Trust $500.00; Annononymous $42.00 payable to Postmaster for Post Office Box Rental.

 

There is a CD maturing on February 6,2009 in the amount of $5,000.  It was agreed to place this money in the Money Market Account.  Checks on the UBS account have been ordered.

 

New Business

 

Applications:
Requests from Ernest Gallet Elementary School for 2 students to attend Solar Exhibit at Planetarium, bus $4, and lunch at Incredible Pizza $11.00 each as follows:

On motion of John, seconded by Michelle, requests approved.

 

Requests from Broadmoor Elementary School for 10 students for field trip to NASA in Houston,
bus $24; Entry fee $10; lunch $8 each as follows:

On motion of John, seconded by Cynthia, above requests approved. 
Six other applications from Broadmoor for the same trip on April 9, 2009 were tabled until the next meeting pending clarification of information on the applications.  John or Michelle will contact the teachers.
