MINUTES OF MEETING HELD: Monday, May 7, 2007 at 5:30 pm

On motion of Julie, seconded by Michelle, Minutes of Meeting held April 2, 2007 approved.

 

Today’s abbreviated business meeting held prior to scheduled reception for principals, counselors, band directors, and interested teachers.

 

Treasurer’s Report
Present balance: $19,472.85

 

New Applications:
Requests from J. Wallace James Elementary School for the following 8 students for a field trip to Baton Rouge to go to the zoo at a cost of $15.00 per student which includes $10 each for the bus and $5 each admission:   J’Vante Epps; Tremine Matthews; Lorenzo Alfred; Destiny Benjamin; Shane Chaisson; Hakeem Zeno; Ebony Minor; and Ashley Denais.
On motion of John, seconded by Julie, awards approved.

 

Requests from J. W. Faulk Elementary School for 1 student, Janothan Boyd, for a field trip to Hockey Plex and meal at a cost of $9, which includes $2 for the bus, $3 admission, and $4 for lunch; and for 1 student, Imani Harvin, for a field trip to lunch at Golden Coral at a cost of $3 for the bus and $6 for lunch.
On motion of John, seconded by Michelle, awards granted.

 

Request from Evangeline Elementary School for 1 student, Hayward Sinegal, for a field trip to the movies at a cost of $6 for movie and snacks.
On motion of Michelle, seconded by John, award granted.

 


Cynthia suggested that we contact the School Board Office to find out if we could have a link on their website so the teachers would have better access to the new Application forms.
