Minutes of
Special Meeting of the Board of Directors on November 13, 2006 together with
Waiver of Notice of Special Meeting submitted for the purpose of amending the
By-Laws by adding Article III, Section 3.1:
“b. To receive and disburse specific grants, gifts and other
bequests of
property or funds to provide for the educational enhancement of
children in kindergarten through twelfth grade by providing
donations directly to schools;”
Guests Cynthia
Dauphin and Justin Primeaux were presented with a check from Citigroup/Smith
Barney in the amount of $3,750.00 for the benefit of the Academy of Business
and Finance at Acadiana High School.
There will be a
luncheon at Duson Elementary School on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 and Sharon
Rue has invited Shining Light Foundation to be present for recognition in
Partners in Education. Carolyn and Mike will attend to represent Shining
Light.

website.
Julie advices December Newsletter will be out soon. She will check to
find out what the cost of reproducing the newsletter will be.
New Business:
During the month of
November 3 field trips were approved via e-mail: 1 from Evangeline Elementary
for $11 and 2 from J. Wallace James for $18 each.

Requests from Duson Elementary for field trip to Wild 4 Learning at $4.00 each
plus bus fare of $2 each as follows:

On motion of Michelle, seconded by John, funding for the trips granted on
condition that Michelle will check with the School Board to see if the trips
