A) Received Thank You notes for the school supplies from J.W. Faulk and Myrtle Place Elementary Schools.
B) Have 4 applications from J. Wallace James requesting the purchase of band instruments. At first glance, very expensive. An issue that will be discussed further at the next meeting is how to handle this type of request with focus on how much will Shining Light contribute towards each request. Before next meeting Lou Montgomery and Carol Mahagan will review how the instruments might be provided with less of a financial impact, plus get answers to the many questions that came up.
C) Approved 2 Scholarship Applications for $10 and $23 from Evangeline Elementary. Students are Isaiah and Ted Arecneaux.
