Special guest Louise Mitchell, the President of American Association of University Women (AAUW) attended the meeting.

ACTION ITEMS:

· Reviewed the Shining Light Account financial statements. Current Checking Account/Money Market Account is $6644.95.

· Shining Light Brochure – Reviewed the latest version of the Tri-fold brochure. Bruce Snow has incorporated a number of changes and has brought it a long way. He is in Mexico and unable to attend the meeting. Additional changes were recommended and Melanie volunteered to do another draft document and distribute for comments.

· Received a contribution from Marsha D’Aunoy

· Grant Applications for L. Leo Judice are tabled until Melissa obtains more information regarding whether the school paid and if students went on the trip.

· Grant application for Truman will be tabled until the Foundation finds out if the parents will pay 1/2 if the Foundation GRANTS ½.

· Motion was made and seconded for Melanie Martin to be part of the Board of Directors. All present voted yes.
