On motion of Julie Eaton, seconded by Tony Moore, Minutes of Meeting of April 4, 2005 approved.

 

Treasurer's Report

Present balance: $19,249.0l

On motion by Mike Huber, seconded by Julie Eaton, to reinvest our present certificate of deposit when it matures in a 9 month certificate of deposit, approved.

 

A donation of $25.00 was received from Cheryl K. Evans.

 

Old Business

Hayley LeJeune will work on the Newsletter and Scrapbook, and will try to have a proposed brochure for the next meeting.

 

Hayley and Michelle Izzo attended the 2005 Volunteer Hall of Fame Induction Breakfast on April  14 and accepted the award.

 

Evaluations and thank you notes from various schools were read.

 

New Business

Michelle will draft a letter to send to Members requesting a renewal of their membership.

 

Motion by John Broussard, seconded by Julie, to pay Prof Erny's bill for $23.70 for 1 box of reeds for a student from Milton, provided we receive the appropriate application, approved.

Evangeline Elementary forFour students to attend skating party on 5-6-05: skating $4; bus $1 = $5. Each:

On motion by Mike Huber, seconded by Julie, to fund all of these requests, approved.

 

Copies of brochures regarding the Math Facts Camp at Sylvan Learning Center were passed out.  On motion by`Mike, seconded by Tony, that we sponsor 10 scholarships at $50 each with the parent paying $25 each and Sylvan awarding the balance to the students, approved.
