SHINING LIGHT FOUNDATION
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD: Monday, January 10, 2005 at 5:30 pm
LOCATION: Smith Barney Office, 400 E. Kaliste Saloom, Lafayette, LA

Guest: Priscilla Fuselier and her brother
On motion of Bruce Snow, seconded by Hayley LeJeune, Minutes of Meeting of December 13, 2004 approved.
Ms. Priscilla Fuselier appeared and is interested in setting up a fund
sponsoring a scholarship for the school band at Carencro Middle School in honor
of her daughter who has died. She has
talked with the band director, Juanita Hall, regarding this. Ms. Fuselier was advised to set out in
writing her criteria for the person or persons qualifying for this scholarship
and will submit this information to Shining Light before we make a decision.
Carolyn French will also communicate with Juanita Hall regarding this matter. Ms. Fuselier can be reached by telephone at 896-8258 or by cell phone at 781-4921.
Present balance: $21,301.05.
We have not yet paid Prof Erny's bill of $2,272.50. This bill will be paid. Tony, Bruce and Carolyn will meet Tuesday,
January 11, 2005 at 2:00 pm.
Bruce reported there is no news regarding the web site.
Hayley reported that the newsletter is coming along as planned.
Julie Eaton is applying for a Coca Cola Foundation grant.
Hayley volunteered to be responsible for filing the evaluation reports
required by Junior League in connection with their grant to our Foundation.
Motion by Mildred seconded by Bruce to name Hayley LeJeune to the Board
of Directors approved.
Meeting adjourned at 7:00 pm.
Next meeting scheduled for Thursday, February 10, 2005, However, this
date was later reset for Monday, February 14, 2005 at 5:30 pm at the Smith
Barney Office, 400 E. Kaliste Saloom.
