MINUTES OF MEETING HELD: Monday, December 13, 2004 at 5:30 pm

On motion of Mike Huber, seconded by Julie Eaton, Minutes of Meeting of November 8, 2004 approved.

Guest DeLisa Washington, representative from Ernest Gallet School, was introduced. She reported that the

awards by Shining Light Foundation to students at Ernest Gallet School have provided great benefits to the

children. She was invited to come to any future meeting and to become a member if she so desires.

Treasurer's Report

Present balance: $16,519.51.

Checks received today:

$96.54 from J. Wallace James School, refund for students whose cost for musical instruments was reimbursed

because they are residents of the Homeless Shelter;

$500.00 - grant received from CitiGroup.

A check from Junior League of Acadiana for $5,000 grant should be received in the near future.

Bill from Lafayette Music for Invoice #20041202 in the amount of $630.00 is paid today.

Old Business

Julie and Hayley will research to find out when applications for grant from Target and other possible grants are

due.

New Business

Applications that were received from Ernest Gallet School over the Thanksgiving holidays and approved but not

yet paid:

Joseph St. Julien, $6.00, to attend Lafayette High School program on 12-9-04;

Jasmine Prejean, $20.00, field trip to Global Wildlife, 10-18-04;

Jeffrey Ryan, $20, field trip to Global Wildlife, 10-18-04

Applications from Duson Elementary School for 16 students to attend the movie Polar Express at $10 per

student ($8 for movie, popcorn and drink, plus $2 for bus):

On motion of Julie, seconded by Tony, all of the applications approved for payment.

In the future, all Applications will be referred to Michelle and John for approval before being submitted to the

Board for vote.

On motion by Hayley, seconded by John, to pre-approve the application of a child at Milton Elementary for lease

of a trombone at our customary 75% of the lease, approved.
