seconded by Tony Moore, Minutes of Meeting held September 13, 2004 approved.
Mike Crochet, a Certified
Public Accountant, was introduced and will observe to see if he will be able to
assist the organization.
Treasurer’s Report
We have a present balance of
$16,632.98.
On Motion by Julie Eaton,
seconded by Mike Huber, $88.00 expenditure by Hayley LeJeune for copywork at
Kinko’s to be paid back to her.
Rental expenses paid since
the last meeting to Prof Erny’s Music are as follows:
Gray Walker, Milton Elementary, for saxaphone $187.50
Taylor Guidry, Scott Middle School, for flute

The budget was discussed.
Motion by Mike Huber, seconded
by Tony Moore, that we approve $1,500 over our projected budget expense for
musical instruments to cover the requests we have as of this date, approved.
The following expenditures
are approved:
Purchase of violins for which
Shining Light will pay 75% of the cost and the parent will pay 25% of the
cost from Lafayette Music. The violins are to be the property of, and
maintained by, J. Wallace James Elementary School.

Old Business
John Foster has helped Bruce
Snow with the website and will work with him to put our by-laws and financial
information on the website if we so desire.
New Business
Robert Hodge will notify the
IRS of the change in our fiscal year from a calendar year to August 1 through
July 31.
Robert will also check to see
if we must amend the by-laws to add additional directors to the Board.
Publicity: Carolyn appeared
on Channel 10 October 2 and will appear again on Channel 10 on October 25 to
promote Shining Light.
