SHINING LIGHT FOUNDATION
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD: Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at 5:30 p.m.

Special meeting was held to
finalize plans for the Bachelor Auction on Friday, July 18, 2003. Minutes of Meeting held June 30, 2003
amended to reflect that the members of Straw Boss will not be providing music
for the event. Instead, Sarah Todora
with her accompanying band will provide the music. Minutes approved otherwise.
Carolyn announced receipt of
a contribution in the amount of $10 was received from Lorene Auld and Carolyn
will send thank you letter.
Bachelor Auction
Julie Eaton announced that we
will have our 10 bachelors to auction.
We have received a donation of 10 bottles of wine from Marcello’s Wine
Shop and Julie said we will have 10 red roses for the bachelors. Michelle Izzo will contact her Dad regarding
using his machine to accept credit card payments at the auction. Robert Hodge provided waiver form for
bachelors and successful bidders to sign.
Mike Huber has contacted George Loomis who will provide security at the
door.
Bruce Snow designed and will
have printed posters acknowledging sponsors: Sarah Todora and Heart & Sole;
Channel 10, Ann Marie Litell, and Sarah Libby; Marcello’s Wine Shop;
Artmosphere Restaurant; Jefferson Street Pub; George Loomis; and Danny Izzo.
Volunteer workers for the
auction are as follows: Mike, Lou, John, and Mildred on the 2 entrances;
Carolyn and Michelle as spotters and bid money; and Julie – all over the place.
New Business
Motion by Melissa, seconded
by Lou, to provide back to school bags of school supplies: 10 bags each to
Evangeline Elementary, J. W. Faulk Elementary, J. W. James Elementary,
Vermillion Elementary, and Alice Boucher Elementary, approved. Ruth will pick up the supplies for the bags.
