MINUTES OF MEETING HELD: May 13, 2002

Copies of Minutes of meeting held April 8, 2002 distributed. Correction to minutes: Melanie Martin should be shown as on the fund raising committee, but not as chairperson. Motion by Julie Eaton to approve minutes as amended, seconded by Carol Mahagan. Minutes approved.

Treasurer’s Report:

Ruth Duhon, Treasurer, reported that balance as of today is $6,346.03.

Total cost of printing the brochures was $194.93.

OLD BUSINESS

Ruth reported that Margaret Patton had made the corrections to the letterhead and Ruth will ask Margaret to e-mail the letterhead to Carolyn at Carolyn.o.French@RSSMB.com.

NEW BUSINESS

Marketing was discussed. One suggestion was that each member send a letter and brochure to ten friends requesting donation. Also, appearing on television to discuss Shining Light. Melanie will contact Stanley at Edie’s restaurant to see if he would consider having a catfish box dinner for fund raising for Shining Light the first Friday in Lent next year.

No meeting will be held in June or July. Next meeting will be held on August 12, 2002, at 5:30 p.m., at Salomon Smith Barney office, 400 E. Kaliste Saloom.
