MINUTES OF MEETING HELD: January 7, 2002
LOCATION/TIME: Symphony Office, 5:30 p.m.

Minutes of December 3, 2001
meeting amended to reflect that Kurt Boudreaux will serve on the Board of
Directors and that Ed Bowie will serve as an Advisor, but not on the Board of
Directors.
Two contributions to the
Foundation were received: Byron Reyes - $100 and Janice and George Roane III -
$30.
By agreement of all members
present, meetings will be held on the second Monday of each month, beginning in
March 2002, at 5:30 p.m., Salomon Smith Barney office, 400 E. Kaliste Saloom.
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS
AND ACTION TAKEN:
1. Following discussion, Motion by Robert Hodge, seconded by
Mildred Baker, to fund all
four
of the requests made at the December meeting and the current request from L.
Leo
Judice
Elementary Schools for funding of $27 each for trip to the Children’s Museum,
bus
trip
to the Swamp, and instruction fee GRANTED by all members present.
2. Brandon Duhon, Alice Boucher Elementary School, $15 for
recorder, GRANTED by
all
members present.
OTHER BUSINESS:
Motion by Mike Huber,
seconded by Robert Hodge, that we pay $38 post office box rental fee,
GRANTED by all members
present.
Motion by Robert Hodge,
seconded by Mike Huber, to place Bruce Snow and Carol Mahagan on the Board of
Directors, GRANTED by agreement of all members present. Carol Mahagan will serve on the Board of
Directors. Bruce Snow was welcomed to
the meeting. He advised that he will
help the Foundation but declined to be placed on the Board at this time.
Bruce volunteered to work on
the Foundation brochure and will contact Margaret Patton regarding the
brochure.
